What is the Young Company?

The Blue Room Theatre Young Company is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to providing children and teens with the opportunity to experience the performing arts. The Young Company offers year round productions, classes and workshops for ages 3 through 18.

The Young Company’s mission is to encourage children and teens of all backgrounds to participate in the dramatic arts. Exposing youth to the theatre, probably the most collaborative of all the arts, develops skills in problem solving, teamwork and discipline, while building self-esteem. We strive to make theatre classes and performance opportunities available to all youth.

Blue Room Late Night

The Late Night Series is the Blue Room’s long-running venue for original programming(such as Sketch Valley,” the in-house sketch comedy troupe) and old favorites as re-enactments of Rod Sterling’s “The Twilight Zone,” as well as live music and comedy events. The Late Night is a raucous arena that serves as a training ground for up-coming talent and a playground for some of Chico’s favorite performers. Matt Hammons directs and co-writes Sketch Valley with William Saporito, while mulch-talented Craig Blamer produces the other Late Night events.
